I’m currently at the early steps of my real estate investing career.  I’ve done a ton of reading, attended a few seminars (nothing too specific, more about real estate investing as a whole) and have done a lot of my own footwork and invested some money to get things started.

What I want/get from you:

- I would love to work with you and learn the process of how you do the deals and the reality of what works and what doesn’t work in Southern California.  I am very open to investing across the nation, but want to keep my first few properties local and manageable.  I want to learn everything about what you do.

- Open discussion about the future of specific areas in So. California and the U.S.

- Primarily, your experience in the local area and maybe a reality check from you.

I’m focusing in the San Fernando Valley/Antelope Valley residential for now.  This may change from your advice.

What you get from me:

- I’m a self-employed IT consultant/Computer Engineer.  Any advice that I can give you, I will be very happy to share with you.

- Respect for your time.  Looking at a ton of forums, the biggest complaint I see is how much time is wasted on people that aren’t serious or that don’t’ follow through.  I’m not that guy.

- I’m open to see what else you may need from me.

I do currently have a mentor (from one of the Guru organizations), but I’m looking for somebody local as well that I can work with and build a relationship for the future.

Unfortunately, being an IT consultant is my primary source of income.  It is how I eat and put a roof over my head.  I will have to work around it but it is very flexible.

I’m going to do this with your help or without it, I’m looking to minimize my mistakes and have the right team on my side so we can all make some smart moves and ultimately start making some money.

If you are in need of some help or willing to share your experience with someone genuinely interested in getting started, I hope you take me into consideration.
